The land beyond

This piece started as a simple sketch to try and come up with a "golden hour" lighting without using reference. I had the idea after going for a bike ride to a place near where I live that looks pretty much like that (although a bit less epic :bit.ly/VTOVCg ). I also was inspired a lot by Justin Oaksford work lately, and I wanted to do a piece in this style, kinda halfway between realism and a more cartoonish style.
